Cholesterol Modification - No Bull!

For some time now we have offered a route to convenient direct attachment of cholesterol during synthesis via our modified phosphoramidite, 5'-Cholesterol-CE Phosphoramidite, and 3'-CPG (3'-Cholesterol SynBase™ CPG 1000/110), products.
The strict guidelines imposed by regulatory authorities now make it essential to use non-animal based products in pharmaceutical drug and diagnostics development for humans. With increasing frequency, therefore, our customers are requesting that we supply products with BSE/TSE statements. For a product such as a cholesterol-based one this is of more obvious importance. With this in mind, we have now developed an alternative route to these popular cholesterol products that uses entirely plant derived cholesterol, making these products an even better choice for modification of oligos.
