Our new spring collection!
29 April 2011
The days are getting longer, spring flowers are blooming and summer is on its way. This time of new beginnings seems an appropriate one to launch several new products.
Polystyrene 3900 Columns
We are please to say that we are now able to offer base-functionalised polystyrene solid supports, packaged in columns for the ABI 3900 & MM48 synthesisers. These are available in standard packs of 50 and 200. A range of modified PS supports will also be available soon.
Bz-S-C6-dT-CE Phosphoramidite
Although thiol-modified oligonucleotides are routinely used to introduce labels such as dyes, haptens and enzymes via reaction with maleimides or acetamides, this method has been limited to the 5' or 3' end of the oligonucleotide. The use of thiol reactive labels for internal modification until now required the conversion of an amino functionality, e.g. amino dT with thioctic acid. We have developed a thiol dT modification that can be incorporated within an oligonucleotide sequence and react directly with maleimides and acetamides.
2'-OMe-5-Me-N-Ac-C-CE Phosphoramidite
Increasingly researchers are looking for modifications to RNA-type molecules to extend the experimentation available. One of the most requested recently has been 2'-OMe-5-Me-C.
Tocopherol Phosphoramidite
An extension to our line of hydrophobic modifiers, based on Vitamin E, is tocopherol phosphoramidite. This is used to introduce tocopherol at the 5'-end of the oligo, either directly on the 5'-OH of the final base or in conjunction with a spacer or linker such as spacer 18 or C6 S-S thiol. The latter will enable the tocopherol to be cleaved via the disulphide bridge, for example once the oligo has been delivered to the cell.
TOP Trityl-ON Purification Cartridges
We're pleased to say we've added TOP-DNA, TOP-RNA and TOP-DNA Jnr purification cartridges to our catalogue. These provide a high throughput, simple, cost effective solution for DNA and RNA oligo purification.
