This product offers the possibility of introducing the same fluorescein-type structure into an oligo as was previously available using fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC). It is derived from the single 5 isomer, however be aware that when you use this fluorescein you will see multiple species in the RP-HPLC of the oligo because the sulfur can be substituted by NH and O. Customers wishing to use a 6-isomer product should use either 6-FAM or 6-Fluorescein.
